I am a psychologist and certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. I graduated in psychology with a clinical specialty from the University of Opole and I completed a 4-year postgraduate psychotherapeutic training at the Crescentia School of Psychotherapy. I am a member of the Polish Society of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. I also completed a postgraduate degree in the pedagogical field as well as clinical neuropsychology and neuropsychological diagnosis at SWPS University.
I have completed numerous therapeutic courses, among others, MSBR Mindfulness methods, crisis intervention, and schema therapy. I have also taken part in art therapy workshops and have had the opportunity to conduct such classes myself. I use resources from classic cognitive and behavioral therapy, while enriching it with mindfulness and drawing on the third wave of cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Currently I work in Psychiatric Outpatient Services in Ostrów Wielkopolski: in a Psychiatric Day Treatment Centre and a Mental Health Clinic (Psychiatryczny Oddział Dzienny and Poradnia Zdrowia Psychicznego in Przychodnia Multimed). I work with clients with a broad spectrum of problems such as: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, emotional crisis, insomnia, and interpersonal problems. I am constantly working on my psychotherapeutic skills by participating in trainings and I subject my work regularly to supervision.
In my work, I try to combine knowledge and working methods to best adapt them to the difficulties reported by the client. In individual contact with the client, it is important to me that everyone can feel understood and accepted. The most important thing for me is that the person who comes forward with problems can feel safe in the therapeutic relationship. If you are thinking about undertaking therapy, remember that regardless of how big or small you feel your difficulties are, there is a place for each one in therapy. The main goal we set together in our first meetings is usually to improve quality of life, which will manifest itself over time across various aspects of life. The most rewarding thing about my work is the accounts of clients who, when they come to sessions, report on their progress, the changes they have made in their lives, and the differences that their loved ones notice.
Carl Gustav Jung and his life achievements have brought me the most psychological inspiration I have had in my life. Let me quote his work, which can be an inspiration for your own therapeutic experience: "The reason for evil in the world is that people are unable to tell their stories."
